Clear surfaces and floors
Cleaners clean; they are not there to put your belongings away, and every minute spent moving things is a minute not spent cleaning. Clear worktops, put clothes in a basket and lift toys off the floor.
Sort out access in advance
Decide whether you will be home, leave a key or share a door code. With ABE you get a message when your cleaner is on the way, when they arrive and when the job is finished, so you do not need to wait in.
Write down your priorities
List the rooms in the order you want them done. On a shorter booking this matters more than anything else you do.
Pets, allergies and products
Tell us about pets in advance, and about any product sensitivities. Products and equipment are included as standard; if you prefer your own to be used, select that at booking and the hourly rate drops by £0.50.
Flag anything fragile
Point out delicate surfaces, unsealed wood, antique furniture or anything that should be left alone. It takes a moment and avoids the only kind of problem that is hard to undo.
