Weekly vs fortnightly cleaning: which should you choose?

Weekly costs more per month but each visit is easier; fortnightly costs less but asks more of you in between.

The trade-off in one sentence

Weekly visits keep a home level, so each clean is maintenance. Fortnightly visits let some build-up return between visits, so more of the hour goes on catching up rather than finishing extras.

Choose weekly if

  • You have children at home or pets that moult
  • The household is four or more people
  • Kitchen and bathroom use is heavy every day
  • You would rather not do anything in between

Choose fortnightly if

  • You live alone or as a couple in a flat or small house
  • You keep surfaces clear and do light upkeep yourself
  • You want the cost spread over fewer visits

Cost works the same either way

The hourly rate is £20.50 with a two-hour minimum regardless of frequency, and recurring plans are charged per visit rather than upfront. You can change frequency, skip a single week or cancel at any time.

A sensible way to decide

Start fortnightly. If the home feels like it needs attention well before the next visit, move to weekly — switching takes a moment in your account.
