New domestic clients pay a discounted rate of £19.50 per hour for their very first visit, after which our standard rate of £20.50 per hour applies. There are no contracts, no administrative sign-up charges, and you are free to skip a week whenever life demands it without paying a penalty.

Understanding the Cleaning First Clean Discount

Our cleaning first clean discount allows you to experience our domestic cleaning service at a reduced price before establishing a regular schedule. The minimum booking duration for any domestic visit is two hours. This ensures your allocated cleaner has sufficient time to make a tangible difference in your home, covering essential tasks rather than rushing through high-traffic rooms.

For your first session, the total cost for the two-hour minimum is £39.00 (two hours at £19.50 per hour). If your home requires a longer initial session—such as three or four hours to address built-up dusting, limescale, or floors—each hour is billed at the same introductory £19.50 rate. From your second visit onwards, the rate moves to our regular domestic tariff of £20.50 per hour, which equates to £41.00 for a standard two-hour clean.

Please note that this introductory domestic rate applies exclusively to residential properties. For offices, retail units, communal blocks, or care facilities, visit our commercial page, as all commercial contracts require a tailored site survey and quote rather than an hourly domestic rate.

What Is Included in Your First Visit

Some companies charge extra for eco-friendly cleaning detergents, vacuum cleaners, and microfibre cloths, or expect you to provide your own. At ABE Cleaning Services, all professional products and cleaning equipment are included in the hourly rate from day one. You do not need to purchase specialised chemicals or ensure your vacuum cleaner is charged before your cleaner arrives.

Every member of our team is fully vetted, holds a clean Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and is covered under our £5,000,000 public liability insurance policy. Whether you are home during the clean or prefer to leave a key in a secure lockbox, your property is in professional, accountable hands.

Your domestic cleaner can tackle any standard routine cleaning tasks you prioritise. Common areas of focus during an introductory clean include:

• Kitchen surfaces: Cleaning worktops, degreasing the hob, wiping exterior cupboard faces, washing the sink and splashbacks, and polishing taps.
• Bathrooms and shower rooms: Descaling and scrubbing basins, bathtubs, and shower screens, cleaning and sanitising toilets, and wiping down tiles.
• Bedrooms and living spaces: Dusting accessible surfaces, skirting boards, door frames, mirrors, and picture rails.
• Floors throughout: Thorough vacuuming of carpets, rugs, and soft furnishings, followed by damp mopping of tiled, laminate, or hardwood floors.
• Rubbish and recycling: Emptying internal bins and replacing liners.

The Flexibility to Skip a Week Without Fees

Many regular cleaning arrangements lock clients into rigid contracts, penalising them if they travel, take annual leave, or simply do not need a cleaner during a quiet week. We do not believe in locking clients into inflexible schedules. If you go on holiday, have family staying, or need to pause service for any reason, skipping a week is entirely free.

All we ask is that you provide at least 24 hours' notice. Provided we receive notice 24 hours prior to your scheduled clean, there is zero charge for the missed visit. When you return, your regular slot resumes seamlessly at the standard £20.50 per hour rate. If an unexpected emergency arises and you need to alter your schedule, you can reach our coordination team directly between 8:00am and 10:00pm, seven days a week.

How to Book Your First Clean

Arranging your introductory clean takes just a couple of minutes. Because we do not require lengthy contracts or pre-authorisation deposits, the onboarding process is straightforward:

1. Submit your request: Visit our book page and enter your address, preferred date, and the number of hours you require (minimum two hours).
2. Specify your priorities: Let us know if you have specific problem areas—such as limescale in the bathroom or pet hair on the lounge rug—so the cleaner can focus on them first.
3. Receive confirmation: We confirm your booking time, assign a DBS-checked cleaner, and provide direct contact details.
4. Pay the discounted rate: Your first session is invoiced at £19.50 per hour with products and equipment provided.
5. Decide your next steps: If you are pleased with the results, we can reserve your preferred day and time for a weekly or fortnightly visit at £20.50 per hour. If you only needed a one-off visit, there is no obligation to continue.
